If you really love pina colada...
Hope you will forgive me for being late on my usual Valentine's Day post. This is quite a tradition for my blog and one of those good habits that I would not like to loose.
This year Valentine's Day found me oddly enough in Cancun Mexico. Well if you are thinking of a romantic second honeymoon, of huts on the beach, of kisses and cocktails you are utterly mistaken.
I was with 500 colleagues at a company convention.
"Even better", the mischievous among you might think. But no, nothing speaks less romance to me than a large number of business men in an exotic beach location. So yes unfortunately a missed opportunity but maybe a good chance for yet another reflection on the topic of love.
Love and distance, this time.
I think I can definitely give an expert opinion on this topic for several reasons

Love and distance, this time.
I think I can definitely give an expert opinion on this topic for several reasons
- I have lived in a long distance relationship for more than a year
- I regularly travel for business ending up being away from my family several weeks a year
- I emigrated to a foreign land leaving all my loved ones behind
And based on this expert knowledge I can say one thing, there is nothing take makes love stronger like distance.
The old Italian saying "lontano dagli occhi, lontano dal cuore"has never applied to me.
Actually when we are far away from our loved ones we tend to remember only the good and exciting things about our relationships, the fundamental reasons why we love somebody become more clear. We suddenly forget about the fights over the remote control and the garbage that has not been taken out, to get lost in that special smile or in that twinkling eye.
With this I am not suggesting that we should willingly remove ourselves from our loved ones just to love them more. I am just saying that if fate, circumstances or the Corona Virus should separate us from our loved ones, just be faithful because love lives on in spite of the distance.
Chiara sei una continua, bellissima sorpresa!!!
