Under a Tuscan sky

Faith and a rental Fiat Qubo (both tricky things by the way) brought me to this marvellous property in the middle of the Tuscan countryside. I will spare you the gory details of travelling around Europe with a couple of little kids.

Anyway when we finally got here the place was so enchanting that it even earned me a reward kiss from my husband for having found it. That's what we are doing it for eh!
But nothing compared to the glorious site that I had this morning looking outside of my window. The sun was so bright it was almost blinding me. The wineyards and the olive groves were flooded by the sunlight and everything was green and in bloom as far as the eye could reach.

We are in the middle of the Chianti region, this would definitely sound promising for many of you, including my husband. But has you know I am allergic to wine, so I will have to pass on the whole wine tasting experience.

The immersion in this Italian holiday actually started yesterday when we visited the qirkiest sculpture garden inspired by Gaudi's work and the antient practice of tarot cards reading.
This visit got me thinking! The easy flattish life of Eindhoven almost made me forget where I come from and in which culture I was raised. As petty, corrupted, vain and unreliable as italians can be they still live and carry on a cultural heritage which has few equals in Europe. Maybe reconnecting to my origins will be a good thing for me.

I hardly can wait to get out in the sun and explore. I will let you know whether this book will be as good as its cover.

PS: Under a Tuscan sky is also a movie but do not watch this one because it is awful!
