Taking care of oneself

Today I finally got the chance to engage in one of the activities that I love the most. I went to the hairdresser. There is nothing better than spending two hours plus of undisturbed pampering, catching up with the latest fashion trends and making all the best propositions to pay more attention to your looks and your style. Pity that Dutch hairdressers are really not that good, if they would be the experience would be absolutely perfect.
This is step one of a whole phisical recovery plan. After nine months of progressive deterioration, it apparently takes another nine months to get back in shape and by shape I mean a comprehensive recovery of ones looks.
Maybe you will find me shallow but you know we do not only have an obligation to perpetuate the species but we also need to be allowed keep up appereances, if that would not be possible I would say there would be no perpetuation of the species.

The whole recovery program covers the following aspects

1) Hair - done
2) Hand and Feet - mani/pedi to be planned asap
3) Facial skin - eat lots of fruit and anti oxydants. Might give a stab at superfoot (chia seeds and stuff of that kind)
4) General muscular tone - massages program to be planned not before 6 weeks after delivery, pregnancy hormons have to be out of the system first for massage to be effective.
5) Weight loss - no dieting allowed during breastfeeding, sport and avoid weight gain only option on short term

Quite an Hercules job don't you think? Time is not a bottleneck though, commitment is, I will keep you updated with regular progress reports.
The first good news is that I am out of those hideous maternity clothes and back into my regular clothes and even more important into my regular shoes.
