The doctor and me

Yet another visit to the gynecologist (in training mind you, to get to the real honcho, you really have to be terminally ill), apparently I am not a medical case anymore. The baby is not even that big, 67 percentile, just a really round belly 92 percentile. Apparently to have a medical indication it shoud be at least 95 percentile.

What a relief you would say, no I say it is a disaster because the doctor immediately gets back at me saying that I have to get back to 1st line care. "To what?!?!", I ask with an expression of mixed confusion and dispair. I am not allowed to give birth under medical supervision anymore, apparently I am too  healthy, I have to go back to the private midwife.
Steam starts flowing through my nostrils and the young doctor senses the peril, so she asks me what do I think about it. It sucks!!!! What else should I think about it. I vehemently put forth the fact that I do not agree, that I am not going back to the midwife two and a half week before delivery, expecially since my previous delivery ended up anyway under medical supervision after a couple of blunders from the midwide.

The shockwave of my argumentations completely overwhelms the doctor who immediately backs off and says that I am totally right and I should stay under medical care.

You cannot even start to appreciate how much I hate this stupid healthcare system, even though my posts so far should have given you an idea. I am really looking forwad for all this to be over.

The doctor in any case wants to make an exibition of strength, therefore she formally announces to me that they are not going to induce my delivery after the 40th week, you know she explains to me, like I am a four years old, (excuse my quote, Philadelphia has just been on TV) that inducing delivery has a lot of risks and contraindications.

Keep your pride you fool, I don't care, I see it by myself that if the baby is not too big, there is no need to rush. I just want to be giving birth in the presence of somebody that actually has a medical degree! Feel free to keep considering me odd.
