To be or not to be.....missed

Here I am again. For all the followers of my blog, sorry for the delay. You might think that this was due to me being swamped in the new tasks of baby carer. Well actually it is not exactly true. I was suffering from the very well known phenomenon of writer's block. This was probably induced by my home confinement and from the fact that I am not going to write about the British general elections (which I am religioulsy following on the BBC). But before I drop the political angle altogether let me at least mention one thing. On a popular BBC talkshow a number of voters condidly asked the show host to explain to them what a "coalition" is. Seriously......you gotta be kidding me! It is really true that UK does not belong in Europe!

Enough with politics and back to the boring life of the stranded mother.

I am complaining a lot about my home confinment but actually it is not so bad since baby visits are staring to pop in to light up my days and my evening as well (the previously mentioned politically incorrect colleagues broke all the rules and showed up in large numbers for dinner).

Mind you this is absolutely not a complaint since the loud and cheery bunch definitely broke the monotony of our homely life. Since they are all affectionate readers of my blog I am going to trow them a bone by saying that my parents who met them here were positively surpriced by the style of their clothing. After being in contact for several years with the Benelux business life they were expecting much much worse. So guys.....well done!
My colleagues also positively reassured me on the fact that I am definitely missed at the office, which made me feel a lot better. This absolutely answers the implicit question of this post. It is good to be missed! Whether it is good in any circumstance of life I do not dare to say, but I am only as bold as to talk about maternity leave and in this circumstance it definitely applies. Like in every good love story the distance should strengthen the feeling.

I am leaving you know, typing with one hand while holding Oliver with the other is giving me RSI, but do not worry, I will be back soon.
